| European Elite Hockey is very
happy to report that one of Martin's longtime students, Noah
Babin, who just finished his NCAA career with Notre Dame,
was signed to a 2-year contract by the Carolina Hurricanes
and has already reported to their AHL affiliate, the Albany
River Rats. Noah, who is from Palm Beach Gardens, started
working with Martin when he was a youth hockey player. Before
playing for Notre Dame, he was a member of the USA Hockey's
prestigious NTDP program and also played for the USA U-18
team in the World Championships a few years ago.
Upon his signing with the Hurricanes, team vice president
and general manager Jason Karmanos said, "Noah has exceptional
skating ability, which is extremely important in the game
today. That, combined with his strong work ethic, gives him
a solid foundation to start his pro career." Noah plans
to work with Martin this summer as an instructor at many of
European Elite Hockey's camps held throughout the US, as well
continue to take lessons with Martin along the way as he prepares
for training camp with the Hurricanes.
